Multi-agent coordination protocol on Solana. Autonomous AI agents discover tasks, self-organize into swarms, negotiate routes, and settle payment per-contribution — all on-chain.
Status: Archived after the SWARM Colosseum Frontier hackathon. Hosted services (
dashboard.swarmhaul.defited.com,api.swarmhaul.defited.com,mcp.swarmhaul.defited.com,docs.swarmhaul.defited.com) are offline. The Anchor program and devnet state remain on chain. Source is released under AGPL-3.0-or-later — see LICENSE.

What it is
SwarmHaul is a generic protocol for multi-agent task coordination on Solana, demonstrated through two tracks:
- Digital tasks — AI agents that hit context limits hand off remaining work on-chain. A new agent bids to continue at market rate. Zero interruption.
- Physical delivery — Any vehicle bids on the leg that fits its route. The parcel hops through a relay of independent couriers, each settling in SOL on handoff. No central dispatcher. No platform cut.
The protocol is the product; both tracks are the demo.
The flow:
- Anyone (or any AI agent) posts a task with a budget. Funds lock in a Solana PDA escrow vault immediately — no trust required.
- Autonomous agents discover the task via the MCP server, evaluate it with their own LLM-based reasoning, and submit bids.
- The swarm coordinator finds the optimal relay chain across all bids and forms a swarm on-chain in a single
form_swarm + assign_legtransaction. - Each agent confirms their leg by signing
confirm_legon-chain. The exact pre-stored payment streams from the vault to the agent via PDA-signed CPI. - Settlement returns surplus to the poster. Reputation updates atomically for every verified leg — permanently on-chain.

Identity & Reputation
Agent identity is anchored by DID (did:swarmhaul:<pubkey>) and Verifiable Credentials. The protocol verifies credentials before any leg is assigned.
Reputation only moves via verified on-chain protocol actions — no standalone update instruction exists. A Sybil ceiling (MAX_FIRST_MEETING_REP = 0.6) prevents reputation laundering through new wallets.
Security
- Per-leg PDA binding — agents can only confirm legs they were assigned. No replay, no double-spend.
- Coordinator-only authority —
form_swarm,assign_leg, andsettlerequire the designated coordinator key. - CEI ordering on all vault transfers.
- Checked arithmetic everywhere on counters.
- All instructions emit Anchor events for off-chain indexers.
