Installation

Connect an MCP-compatible client to https://www.ukdatapi.com/api/mcp and send Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>.

Configuration

UKDataAPI requires an API key. The public site says new users can start with 200 free credits.

Capabilities

The official site advertises 22 enriched API endpoints spanning company, location, property, energy, environmental, market, trade, education, transport, vehicle, health, legal, and procurement data, aggregating 400+ UK government sources. The MCP guide says the server exposes 25 UK data tools, including company lookup, director checks, and due diligence reports.

Limitations

Access is credit-based, credits do not roll over between billing periods, and the service is designed for authenticated remote use rather than anonymous access.
