Installation

Connect the hosted MCP endpoint at https://mcp.ninelayer.in/mcp with an Authorization: Bearer token issued from the Ninelayer dashboard.

Configuration

Supported auth token variables documented by Ninelayer include NINELAYER_API_TOKEN and NINELAYER_AUTH_TOKEN.

Capabilities

• ninelayer_deep_search for authority-ranked live web search
• ninelayer_get_url / ninelayer_extract for clean URL-to-Markdown extraction
• academic_search for arXiv-focused paper search
• MCP-compatible use in Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, LangChain, and similar clients

Limitations

• A token is required for agent workflows.
• The service is optimized for compact evidence packets and Markdown output, not browser interaction.
• Current docs emphasize hosted remote HTTP use or stateless HTTP calls.
