Installation

Use the public Streamable HTTP endpoint at https://design.googleapis.com/mcp. No package install is required for the server.

Configuration

The public Design MCP endpoint is https://design.googleapis.com/mcp. Developers do not need an API key or OAuth 2.0 credentials to access it. For inspection and debugging, point the MCP Inspector at the same URL.

Capabilities

The server exposes tools for generating color schemes, searching icons, providing icon usage guidance, searching fonts, and describing font families.

Limitations

The public endpoint is documented as unauthenticated. The sample clients in the docs use a Gemini API key for the consuming client, not for the MCP endpoint itself.
