Installation

Use the remote MCP endpoint from the Google Cloud docs: https://compute.googleapis.com/mcp.

Configuration

Remote endpoint: https://compute.googleapis.com/mcp Transport: HTTP/Streamable HTTP Authentication: Google Cloud identities via OAuth 2.0 and IAM. Required permissions: roles/mcp.toolUser plus the Compute Engine permissions needed for the operations you call.

Capabilities

Manages Compute Engine VM instances, instance group managers and templates, disks and snapshots, and information about reservations and commitments.

Limitations

Requires the Compute Engine API to be enabled. Google and Google Cloud remote MCP servers do not support Dynamic Client Registration or OAuth Client ID Metadata Documents.
