Installation
This server is exposed as a remote SSE endpoint. Use an MCP client that supports remote connections and custom headers.
Configuration
Connect to https://mcp.icecat.biz.
Required header:
Api-Token: Icecat API access token.
Optional header:
Lang-Code: language code for product information, defaults toen.
Prerequisites
- Icecat/Open Icecat account
- Icecat API access token from the Icecat profile area
- MCP client that supports remote SSE transport and custom headers
Capabilities
- Retrieve product specifications and technical details from Icecat's database
- Support standard Icecat identifiers such as BrandName, ProductCode, and GTIN
- Provide multilingual product content for AI assistants and enterprise integrations
Limitations
- Access is token-based and intended for registered Icecat users and channel-partner workflows
- Icecat's published examples recommend Open Icecat accounts for third-party AI integrations
- Remote transport only; no package target is declared
